Welcome to our 4th annual Charger Challenge!

Charger Challenge is designed as a recruitment & student development tournament.

Students are encouraged to enter multiple events both in person & async over the two days of our tournament.

-Policy will have 4 rounds.

-LD & PF will have 4 rounds & a grand finale round.

-Big Question will have 3 rounds & and an elim round.

-Congress Rounds will be 2 rounds @ 2 1/2 hours with 13-16 per chamber cap. Then a 2-hour final.

-Speech Events will have 3 rounds & finals in most events.

-Friday we will have Charger Challenge Bingo, Scavenger hunts & our "vibe stations" to help get your holiday energy right.

-We will have table events going both days of the tournament with Utah colleges, SAFE UT, and other activities.

-We will be selling concessions. Details & pricing to TBD.

Awards:

Congress: 1-10th Place.

PF & LD: 1st-6th Place.

Speech & BQ: 1st-5th Place.

Policy: 1st-5th Place.

Async: 1st-4th Place.

Charger Champion Award: Top 3 individuals in NSDA points.

Judge Burden:

Async 5 Entries/1 Judge

Congress 5 Entries/1 Judge

-$25.00 Nuisance fine for drops after December 4th.

**No Show Judges will incur $50 fine on behalf of their school.

TOC SPEECH BIDS:

If any speech events meet the following competitor requirements, we will submit the bids to the TOC.

• Champion (1 Bid) - Minimum 8 Entries / 3 Schools / 3
  Prelims and 1 Final.
• Top 3 (Up to 3 Bids) - Minimum 16 Entries / 4 Schools / 3
  Prelims and 1 Final.
• Finals (Up to 6 Bids) - Minimum 30 Entries / 5 Schools / 3
  Prelims, Semis, Finals.
