  • Congress & Novice Congress – Start @ (8:00 AM)

    • 2 Prelims (2.5 hrs each), Final (2 hrs), 15–18 students per chamber

  • Pattern A (8:00 AM): Double Flight

    • Lincoln Douglas (4 Rounds + Grand Final)

  • Pattern B (9:00 AM): Double Flight

    • Big Question (3 Rounds + Elim Round)

    • Spar (3 Rounds + Elim Round)

  • Public Forum (9:00 AM): Single Flight

    • 5 Rounds

  • Policy: (8:00 AM): Single Flight

    • 4 Rounds

Judging Requirements

  • Async: 1 judge per 5 entries

  • Speech: 1 judge per 5 entries

  • Congress & Spar: 1 judge per 5 entries
  • LD, BQ: 1 judge per 2 entries

  • Policy, PF: 1 judge per 2 entries

*No-show judge fine: $50

*Late Adds/Drops: $5 each

*Drop after Dec. 4: $25 nuisance fee

Costs:

  • $25/school per day

  • $5/student per event

  • $4 per Async event

  • $10 for PF, Policy, Duo events

TOC Bids (Speech Only)

  • Up to 3 Bids for Top 3 (≥16 entries, 4 schools)

  • Up to 6 Bids for Finalists (≥30 entries, 5 schools)

Extras & Vibes

  • Friday: Bingo, Scavenger Hunt, and Vibe Stations

  • Table Events: Utah Colleges, SAFE UT, more

  • Concessions (pricing TBD)

  • Awards begin at 3:30 on Saturday in our auditorium. There will be lots of recognition & medals to celebrate your team’s achievements.
