Those may be students who do not meet the eligibility requirements for a particular event. However, the individual entry limitations on cross-entry patterns still apply.

Congress on Thursday and Friday morning will be at Teurlings Catholic High School.
All other events on Thursday afternoon, Friday afternoon, and all day Saturday will be at David Thibodaux STEM Magnet Academy.

Selections - Prior to the tournament, we will not collect copies of selections students will perform. Rather, please make sure that you have copies of all materials (hard copy or digital) during the tournament in case of a protest. If a protest is filed against one of your students and these materials are unavailable during tournament, the student may be removed from competition. [For the following events: Declamation, Dramatic, Duo, Humorous, Informative, Oratory, Prose & Poetry, Programmed Oral Interp]

New in 2025: there is no required judge bond, and local schools are not required to bring 2x as many judges as a traveling school with the same entry. That being said, EACH SCHOOL MUST FULFILL THEIR JUDGE OBLIGATION EVERY ROUND OF THE TOURNAMENT. If that affects how many entries you can bring, then plan accordingly. If schools are short on judges by the end of registration, we may require schools to adjust their entry. If assigned judges during the tournament fail to show up for their rounds, schools will be levied a fine. Repeated offenses risk potential disqualification from the tournament of an entire school's entry.

Details about the registration process can be found by clicking "Entry Instructions" on the sidebar to the right.
