The Moore HS Lions Classic Speech and Debate Tournament will be held Friday and Saturday, October 4 & 5 at Moore High School.

Please send entry changes (drops can be done online until 6:00 PM Wednesday WITH FEE), judge changes, or tournament questions to lcrews@bmchs.org .

The schedule for the week is as follows:

Monday: 6:00 PM was the entry deadline. After this time, drops can be done online until Wednesday at 6:00 PM WITH FEE. Please email any other changes to lcrews@bmchs.org .

Wednesday: Drops WITH FEE due by 6:00 PM onTabroom.com (after that time, please email lcrews@bmchs.org )

AND Judge entries due by 6:00 PM on Tabroom.com (after that time, please email lcrews@bmchs.org )

Thursday: Tournament Schedule posted

Friday: Registration starting at 2:00 PM in the auditorium; Mandatory meeting at 2:45 PM; Debate Preliminary Rounds

Saturday: Registration for IE-only schools in the tab room; IE Preliminary Rounds and Outrounds for Debate and IE

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

1. 4A, 5A, 6A and Novice divisions are offered. Please see the tournament website for more information on events. PQ entries must be emailed to lcrews@bmchs.org .

2. Entry fees are as per the OSSAA manual. If you have not received a schedule by 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 3, please contact lcrews@bmchs.org. Any drops after Wednesday at 6 PM should be emailed directly to lcrews@bmchs.org and will be subject to fees as per the OSSAA manual.

3. Judge requirements and fees for uncovered judges are as per the OSSAA manual. Please enter debate judges in the debate pool only, even if they can judge other events. In the notes section let us know if they can judge other events, as well as their availability.

PLEASE MAKE PLANS TO COVER YOUR JUDGING OBLIGATIONS AS PER THE OSSAA MANUAL:

One (1) IE Judge per twelve (12) individual event entries

One (1) LD Judge per four (4) LD debate entries

One (1) Public Forum judge per four (4) debate entries

One (1) CX Judge per first three (3) CX debate entries plus one (1) additional judge for each two (2) additional entries

4. At this time, we plan to have IE balloting on paper. We will let you know if that changes.

5. Registration begins at 2:00 PM on Friday in the auditorium and 7:15 AM on Saturday in the tab room. SCHOOL GETS OUT AT 3:05 PM. You must arrive by 2:30 PM to avoid traffic. On Friday, teams should remain in the auditorium until the first debate round begins.

6. BUSES can park across the street until school is out.

7. Debate will have three prelim rounds on Friday. Approximate schedule: Round 1 3:15 PM, Round 2 5:15 PM, Round 3 7:00 PM. Qualifying and Novice divisions will use the Sept/Oct NSDA topics.

8. Concessions will be in the cafeteria. Judges' Lounge will be in the teacher's workroom with entry from the cafeteria.

9. Competitors should plan to bring hot spots if wifi is needed.
