Welcome to the 2024 Wood River Round Robin
Presented by Wood River High School
Date: Saturday, October 19
Location: Wood River High School, 1250 Fox Acres Rd, Hailey, ID.
Events: Novice Lincoln Douglas (LD) Debate, Novice Public Forum (PF) Debate, and Novice Congressional Debate.
Topics: LD Debate will use the Novice LD topic, PF will use the Sept/Oct topic, and Congress will use the September NSDA Legislation packet attached to the website.
Congress P.O.'s - experienced Congress varsity will serve as the Presiding Officers in the first session but we encourage students who wish to try it to be the P,O. the second session. Recency will be set by Tabroom and reset after the first session..
Judges: Varsity team members will serve as judges and the LD and PF rounds will be single-flighted so it is IMPERITIVE that each team brings sufficient judges to cover their entry! There will also be special recognition for varsity judges that write supportive ballots.
Awards: LD and PF debaters that post 3-2, 4-1, and 5-0 records will receive awards. An equal or approximate number of competitors in Congressional Debate and Policy Debate will also receive awards. There will also be an appropriate number of unique sweepstakes awards.
Lunch: There is a built in lunch period and lunch will be provided for all judges and participants.
Seminar: Varsity team members (1 from each school) will share general observations and suggestions with ALL participants at the end of the lunch period before the team huddle time.
Team Huddles: Eaxch team will be provided a space for the varsity to work with the novices prior to the start of Round 4 (PF and LD) as well as Congress.

10:00 am - Session 1 (Congressional Debate) - ends at 12:30 pm
11:00 am - Round 2 (LD and PF)
12:00 pm - Round 3 (LD and PF)
1:00 pm - Lunch Break/Seminar
1:45 pm - Team Huddles
2:15 pm - Round 4 (LD and PF)
2:15 pm - Session 2 (Congresssional Debate) - ends at 3:30 pm
3:15 pm - Round 5 (LD and PF)
