Thank you for your interest in attending The Jungle Invitational! This is East Idaho’s only two-day debate only tournament, and we can’t wait to have you join.

Fees-

Because speech isn’t offered at this tournament, and it is a two-day tournament, entry fees will be $8 per person.

Events-

This year, the following events will be offered in both Novice and Varsity Divisions: LD, PF, Congress. World Schools Debate will be introduced this year and will be offered in a single "Open Division." Due to historically low numbers in Policy Debate at this tournament, we will not be offering Policy Debate this year.

Judges-

The judge obligation will be:

One judge per 4 LD entries

One judge per 4 PF entries

One judge per 2 World Schools

One judge per 5 Congress entries

Topics-

This year, we will be running the SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER topics for LD & PF. World Schools topics and the Congress Docket are posted on their own pages to the right!

Congress-

Student-written congress legislation is due Wednesday, October 9th! Please also only submit newly written legislation for the 2024-2025 season, and do not submit bills that have been written in previous seasons.

Food-

Judge food will be provided by the tournament in the judges lounge. Concessions will be ran for students to purchase during the tournament. Please encourage your students to bring cash or card to purchase concessions. All proceeds benefit the IFHS debate team.

Friday-

Registration: 2:00-2:45 pm

Opening Meeting: 2:45pm

Round 1: 3:20pm

Round 2: 5:20pm

Round 3: 7:20pm

Saturday-

Judge check in- 8:40

Round 4: 9am-11am

Round 5: 11am-1pm

Quarters: 1:30pm

Semis: 2:45pm

Finals: 4:00pm

Awards- 6:00pm
