West Oklahoma District Qualifier

for the 2023 National Tournament

Hello, West OK teams!

Main Districts registration is now open and will close on February 23 at 8 pm. Judges must also have been entered by that time.

Important things TO DO the week of Feb 20:

1. Registration is due this Thursday, Feb 23 by 8 pm on tabroom.com for the Main District tournament! Judges are also due at this time!Team strength determines your number of entries up to a maximum of 4 per event. Strength can be found on your team account under "District Info" on speechanddebate.org. It will also appear on the right side under "Add Entry To" when you click on an event to register on tabroom.com.
2. If you want to nominate a student forDistrict Student of the Year, use this link by Feb 27: https://www.speechanddebate.org/student-of-the-year-nomination-form
3. If you want to nominate a student forNSDA Student Leadership Council, use this link by Feb 27. WestOK will select one student representative for the council. https://www.speechanddebate.org/student-leadership-council-nomination/
4. Arrange for payment of West OK District Dues to be paid in advance or brought to tournament registration on Thursday, March 2. This is a requirement. If you have extenuating circumstances, please let us know. (*see further info below)
5. At registration, you will need to submit the OU release form for each student who will compete. A fillable form has been emailed to coaches and is attached to the right of this page.
6. Arrange for payment of NSDA invoices. They will not allow teams to compete with outstanding payments.
7. EXTEMP AREAS have been released for prep! Please note that they are in alpha order,NOT the order of extemp rounds. Any order might be used at the tournament.

8. This is the current schedule, which is subject to change. Coaches, judges, and competitors must attend the opening meeting at 8:00 am on Thursday, where we will explain procedures and logistics.

• For rounds outside of the Union building, judges will report to the Ballroom and escort the competitors to the room. This will be explained at the meeting on Thursday.

*WEST OK DUES: If you need an invoice for your financial secretary, please complete the team registration page on tabroom.com. It doesn't obligate you to anything financial or otherwise. Just put your name/contact info in and click to agree to the Notes & Disclaimer from NSDA. That way you'll be on the tournament list. Then let me know, and I can generate an invoice for you, or you can print your dues invoice from the Money tab.

• West OK District NSDA Chapter dues are $30 for every 25 NSDA chapter members and degrees (1-25=$30, 26-50=$60, etc.). Your team strength can be found under "School Profile" on your account at speechanddebate.org and also on your registration page for the West OK District tournament on tabroom.com. IF YOU HAVE ENTERED POINTS RECENTLY, YOUR TEAM STRENGTH MAY HAVE CHANGED, resulting in more entry slots and an increase in dues.
