You are cordially invited to attend "The Brit." Due to the rapid rise in cases of the Omicron Covid variant in our area, we have made the difficult decision to move to a virtual option on February 4th and 5th, 2022.  We offer all OSSAA events plus Congress (synchronous), Info, Duo, and POI (asynchronous) in the Championship division.

All links for asynchronous events are due by 3:00pm on Wednesday, February 2nd.  Asynchronous rounds will be sent out at 8:00am on February 3rd and all preliminary asynchronous judging must be completed by 8:00am on Saturday, February 5th.  Asynchronous final rounds will be blasted at 9:00am on Saturday, the 5th and must be completed by 4:00pm that day.

All Championship debaters will debate 6 preliminary rounds Friday and Saturday prior to finals.

As always, my intention is to provide students in speech events as much feedback as possible, so I'd like to put two judges in each preliminary round and three judges in the final rounds.  However, that is completely up to your ability to provide enough judges.  Please make sure that you are providing enough judges to cover your entries.  AND, this year, if you provide more judges than your obligation (and they actually show up and judge their rounds) I will be providing a discount to your entry fees (3-5 EXTRA judges=5% discount, 6-10 EXTRA judges=7.5% discount, more than 10 EXTRA judges=10% discount).

Any schools from out of state wishing to attend The Brit must enter into the Championship division.  Any students in the 6A division who are previously qualified in CX, LD, PF, DEX, or FEX (as the entered team in team debates) are required to enter into the championship division.  In order to provide a robust championship division we encourage students from all classes to take the championship plunge, as well.
