Welcome to the 2022 “Running With The Bulls” Invitational hosted by Mountain View High School.  We are excited and honored to host you on Friday and Saturday, January 14^th and 15^th, 2022.

We are excited to have you Join us for this unique tournament. Many will argue that the "suit makes the wo/man" and that is what lends credibility to the debate and ensures that we maintain a formal tone.  The reality is that what makes a debater truly credible is the quality of his/her argument and content of their speech. So... to that end, please "come as you are" - dress will be school/dress code appropriate attire (NO pj's and sweats though).

This year, Running with the Bulls will be a debate only tournament, with awards going to all entries making it to elimination rounds. We will have all 4 state debate events, with novice divisions in Lincoln-Douglas, Public Forum and Policy. There will be six preliminary rounds, 2 on Friday and 4 on Saturday.

Congress will have two preliminary sessions and a Super Congress Session will on Saturday. 

When: January 14-15

Where: Mountain View High School

Debate events : Open divisions in Congressional Debate LD, PF, and CX, and novice divisions in LD, PF and CX.

Entry Deadline: The entry deadline will be Wednesday January 12^th, 2022 at 3:30pm. After this time, no drops or adds will be allowed on the website. If you drop after this time, you will be responsible for paying the entry fee and may be charged a $50 drop fee.

Cost:  $10 per entry for Lincoln Douglas and Congress, $20 per entry for Public Forum and Policy

Topics: We will be using the 2021-2022 Policy Debate Resolution, the January/February 2022 Lincoln-Douglas Resolution, the January 2022 Public Forum Resolution and the Spring 2022 Legislation Packet. 

Judges: YOU MUST HAVE ENOUGH JUDGES TO COVER YOUR ENTRY.  IF YOU ARE SHORT, YOUR TEAM WILL BE DROPPED. If your judge does not pick up/start their ballot and we have to reassign, a $20 per missing round fee will be charged.
