The Midway High School Speech & Debate team would like to invite you and your squad to the MHS Panther Scare TFA Speech & Debate Tournament to be held IN PERSON on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

We will host competition in all TFA events, including Congress. There will be three preliminary rounds of Policy (CX), Lincoln-Douglas (LD), and Public Forum (PF) debates followed by elim rounds. There will be one preliminary round and semis/finals for IE and Interp events.

All divisions of CX and PFD will use the current varsity level NSDA topics. Congress will use the TFA Legislative Docket (1-5 for prelims and 6-10 for finals).

LD will use the UIL topic for qualifications points.

A great hospitality room will be provided for judges and coaches. There also will be a snack bar available for students to purchase drinks and snacks, along with lunch options.

The entry deadline is 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26th. The drop deadline is Thursday, October 28th. 

Although we will be hiring some judges, it is our expectation that schools will also bring their own required judges, based on entries, who are available to judge every round. If you are able to bring any additional judges, please let us know. We love having more judges!
