Welcome to the City of Trees Varsity Season Opener.  We are excited to once again be the host of the first varsity tournament of the season in the Treasure Valley.  Please read below for more specifics on the tournament.  

Food

There will be a scheduled lunch break for students and judges.  There will be NO CONCESSIONS OR FOOD AVAILABLE for purchase.  Students/judges are encouraged to have food delivered or bring food from home.

Topics

We will be using the following:

Policy will use the NSDA topic "Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its protection of water resources in the United States.

Sept/Oct LD "Resolved: The member nations of the World Trade Organization ought to reduce intellectual property protections for medicines."

Sept/Oct PF "Resolved: The North Atlantic Treaty Organization should substantially increase its defense commitments to the Baltic states."

Congress will use the September and October NSDA Congress Legislation (if you can't find this, please contact me)

Fees

School fee: $25

Policy/PF Teams $20

LD/Congress $10

Policy Debate: 1 Judge for every 2 teams

Public Forum: 1 Judge for every 4 teams

Lincoln-Douglas: 1 Judge for every 4 entries

Congressional Debate: 1 Judge covers 5 entries
