What:  Warrior Classic Speech/Debate Tournament for classes 3A and 4A  (no novice) 

 

When:  Friday, November 5, and Saturday, November 6, 2021.  

 

Where: Campus of Okarche High School or, if circumstances require, online    

 

This is a qualifying tournament which will run according to the rules set by the OSSAA.  

 

All fourteen events sanctioned by the OSSAA will be offered.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

 

Entries:  You may enter an unlimited number of entries per event.  Please have enough judges to cover your entries.

 

Cost: The cost is $4 for each individual event, $5 for each LD debate entry, $8 for duets, and $10 for each CX and/or PF debate team. 

 

Deadline:  Entries are due by 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 2.  Register on tabroom.com @ http://warriorclassic.tabroom.com/

 

Drops/Adds:  A $5 fee will be assessed for each entry added or dropped after the deadline.. Deadline for drops and/or adds is Wednesday, November 3, at 5:00 P.M.

 

Payment:  Make checks & P.O.s out to OKARCHE PUBLIC SCHOOL

 

Awards:  1st, 2nd, and 3rd in all events (two per team events), some trophies/some plaques.  1st, 2nd, and 3rd sweepstakes in both classes.

 

Judges: Confirm by Tuesday, November 2 by 5:00 P.M.  Requirements are as follows:

1 judge for 1 or 2 CX  teams, 2 judges for 3 or 4 CX teams, 3 judges for 5 or 6 CX teams, etc.

1 judge for 1-4 LD debaters, 2 judges for 5-8 LD debaters, 3 judges for 9-12 LD debaters, etc.

1 judge for 1-4 PF teams, 2 judges for 5-8 PF teams, 3 judges for 9-12 PF teams, etc.

1 judge for 1-12 i.e. entries, 2 judges for 13-24 i.e entries, 3 judges for 25-36 i.e. entries, etc.

 

Concessions: lounge for coaches, judges, and bus drivers provided. Concession stand for students will be in the high school lobby. 

 

Schedule: A schedule of events will be e-mailed to you the week of the tournament.

Debate will begin on Friday at 3:30 P.M.  Extemp draw will begin at 8:30 A.M. on Saturday, and round one of individual events will begin at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday.
