The Crossings Gauntlet and OK Novice State Championship,

Thank you for considering to enter the The Crossings Gauntlet and OK Novice State Championship. In this crazy virtual world of many platforms, we are scheduling based on what has been widely accepted and proved to have worked. We will have asynchronous, prerecorded events with video upload and then be utilizing NSDA Campus for the synchronous debate events and extemp on Saturday only. Extemp draw will look a little different with instructions to come.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AS THIS WILL BE A VERY DIFFERENT FORMAT

Entry Deadline: Due Tuesday, January 5 by 5pm. Changes can be made by coaches until that point. After that, coaches need to email any changes.

Judges: Due Wednesday, January 6 by 5pm

Judges:  Judge Requirements adhere to OSSAA rules.

Judge Entry: Judges may be entered in the speech category (IE) and one debate category.

Debate judges will also be expected to judge extemp on Saturday.

Video Uploads: Due Wednesday, January 6 by 8 pm

Asynchronous Events: Postings for Asynchronous events will be public at 8am Thursday, January 7th. Judges will have until Friday January 8th at 11am to complete their judging. They can be judged anytime at the judges leisure. Because of the schedule and time allotment, a judge may be assigned to more than one event depending on the size of the pool. Rounds that are not judged will be reassigned and blasted at 11:30 am Friday to be judged by 2 pm. Semis and or Finals will be released at 2:30 pm to be judged by 4:00 pm. Any necessary final rounds remaining will be scheduled at 4:30 to be judged by 6:00 pm and the asynchronous events will be completed Friday Night.

Synchronous Events: ALL synchronous events will take place Saturday, January 9. IE judges judging extemp will need to be available Saturday. The schedule will be determined by the amount of judges. 

Fees: OSSAA fee scale. $4.00 IE, $8.00 Duets, $5.00 LD, and $10.00 for PF and Policy

5A 6A Qualifying Events: We are offering ALL 5A 6A events and may combine or delete events as entries dictate.

Novice Events: We are offering ALL novice events and may combine or delete events as entries dictate.

Champ Events: We are offering ALL Champ events and may combine or delete events as entries dictate.

Every competitor will need to have a tabroom account AND will need to be linked to your school tabroom account and the tournament (I have instructions if you need them)

WARNING: IF YOU ARE HAVING YOUR COMPETITORS MEET AT YOUR SCHOOL AND USE THE SCHOOL WIFI OR A SCHOOL LAPTOP, THEY MUST TEST THE SYSTEM PRIOR TO SATURDAY. MOST SCHOOLS BLOCK THE NECESSARY PORTS AND PAGES TO ALLOW NSDA CAMPUS. INSTRUCTIONS ARE POSTED ON THE TOURNAMENT HOME PAGE.

FORFEITS: IF TECH ISSUES ARE NOT RESOLVED WITHIN 15 MINUTES OF THE ROUND START TIME, IT WILL BE A FORFEIT JUST THE SAME AS IN THE OSSAA MANUAL.
