Event Description:
Public Forum Debate is an activity where two teams, each consisting of two students, debate a policy topic. This tournament is on the resolution: "Resolved: In the United States, the benefits of the use of generative artificial intelligence in education outweigh the harms."
Students competing in debate must be polite and silent while others speak (other than during crossfire, which is an opportunity for debaters to ask each other questions). Rounds are a total of 48 minutes long.
