Event Description:

The Public Forum Debate Tournament

Location: Online via NSDA Campus

Two divisions:Varsity PF & Middle School PF

Online Divisions

We will offer two online divisions for Canadian students. There will be no entry limits for middle school competitors. High school teams will be limited to 4 teams.

Vital Stats:

• NEW NSDA RULES: Please note that these rules are dictated by the NSDA. All debaters will be entitled to 4 preliminary rounds. After 4 rounds, all debaters with 4-0 or 3-1 records will advance to elims. The number of Elim rounds will be based on the number of advancing debaters. The debaters in Elims will be seeded. Therefore, a school may hit their own school in elims. Elims will be single elimination. Elims will continue until we have the correct number of qualifiers.

• NOTE: If the number of entries allows, we will offer a round robin format in which there will be one less round than the number of entries, e.g., 8 teams = 7 rounds. At the conclusion, the top qualifier(s) will be announced for Nationals.
