Event Description:
Five preliminary rounds beginning Friday afternoon, breaking to Octofinals (pending entries), and using the 2010-11 topic.Schools are initially limited to 8 entries in Policy; no more than two may be designated as novice (see below). Space permitting, we will begin accepting waitlisted entries two weeks before the tournament. No double entry. One judge for every two teams (or fraction thereof).During elimination rounds of each event, the top 4 novice entries that do not break will compete in separate Novice Semifinal and Final rounds. All debate judges are eligible for the Novice Semifinal rounds. Novices are inexperienced debaters 10th grade or younger; both members of a Policy team must meet this description.
