Event Description:
Novice (Caselist) will be limited to those students who have not participated in debate prior to this season. All students in this division will be expected to debate on the novice caselist only. Students reading arguments outside the NDCA Novice packet will be disqualified–please enter your kids in the Open Novice division if they want to debate outside the packet. As we are offering this option, we will not be patient about teams not adhering to this expectation. Novice will have five rounds Saturday. The top eight teams in this division will receive medals. Novice debaters should be prepared to debate in front of lay and experienced judges.
