Event Description:
Original Oratory (OO)Original oratory is a 6-8 minute memorized speech of original content that is intended to persuade (i.e., you should recycle more). Please allow for a 30-second grace period on either side of the time range before assessing a penalty. Students who speak outside of the time range, should be scored but should not place first in the round. Students who compete with notes/manuscripts should be scored, but they should not place first in the round (unless everyone in the round uses notes).
