Public Forum Debate

In Public Forum Debate, teams argue a topic of national importance in terms that a common person would understand. Similar to Policy Debate, Public Forum Debate is conducted by teams of two people, alternating speeches for their side. Students may use non-Internet connected laptops. Debate will feature Novice and Experienced subcategories. Experienced teams should feature at least one eighth grader who competed in debate last season. Novice teams should include seventh graders and / or inexperienced eighth graders.
