Duo Interpretation
8 Minutes Maximum
Partner event; memorized piece. Performance must include a student-written introduction. Piece may be a cutting from a play, novel, or short story. Performers must stand, but movement is limited to a three-foot space. Performers may not make physical contact or eye contact with each other, but instead should utilize off-stage focus. Performers should use their voice, facial expressions, and body language to create characters. There should be a minimum of 50% dialogue in this piece. Performers may not use properties.
