Informative:

Informative is a memorized 7-10 minute speech meant to inform on a topic. There is a 30 second grace period under or over the time limits. This speech does not need to be persuasive. Visual Aids are not required although they can have a significant impact on a speech. Competitors should be judged on their ability to provide a relevant and interesting topic, delivery, and ability to engage their audience. These speeches should be able to tell the judge why this information or topic is important to learn. It should be noted that competitors who are not memorized i.e. reading off of phones or papers cannot place 1st in the room.
