Event Description:
Spontaneous Oral Interpretation is a High School only event.
Competitors will receive a binder with materials for each round. They will have 5 minutes to read over the material and then they will perform the piece. Competitors will not be able to watch previous speakers but may elect to stay to watch those who follow. Spontaneous Oral Interpretation tests the competitor’s ability to read and interpret a literary text in a brief amount of time.
