Reader's Theatre

Event Description:

This event involves 3 to 6 readers. It is an oral interpretation event. The All readers should use binders and the selection can be from a storybook, novel, play, or television series. Movement is usually limited to three steps in any direction. Performers may use bandstands, stools, chairs or blocks to perform with provided by the competing school. A memorized introduction that is split among the performers is required. Stylized movement is sometimes used in this event. The movement should be clean, organized, sometimes rhythmic and consistent with other group members. Time limit is 10 minutes.
