Event Description:
Students have 7 minutes from the time you hand them their set of three topics (they will choose one of those three). Most students use about two minutes to prepare and 5 minutes to speak; this formula is somewhat flexible as long as they don't go over 7 minutes. You should time them and give them hand signals of their remaining time as they are speaking. They cannot use notes while speaking. Use paper ballots to give students feedback on what they are doing right and how they can improve. At the end of this round, enter your rankings online.
