Event Description:
NOTE: This is regular old Congressional Debate, but it is for students who are in their FIRST YEAR of competing in CONGRESS at the high school level -- all freshmen are welcome plus any non-freshman who has never competed in Congress in high school before. We are NOT offering Varsity Student Congress. There is no judge burden for this event (you won't be charged for judges in this event); experienced Congress judges will be asked to score sessions. Students will not be able to compete in other events. This is a training session for Congress that will complete at the end of prelims, allowing participants to observe the final round of their choice.
