Event Description:

Extemporaneous speaking asks the student about topics of current interest, derived from national or international

events, and to offer an individual opinion supported by relevant information from current news sources. The

student has thirty minutes to prepare the speech. The speaker is allowed to refer to one note card (containing no

more than fifty words) during the speech. Speakers should be given minute by minute time signals.
