Impromptu Speaking

Event Description:

Impromptu Speaking: Students will pull three topics at random, select one and have seven minutes in which to prepare and present a short, well-organized talk inspired by the chosen “jump start.” Topics will consist of questions or prompts. In one round, they will feature proverbs or quotations; in the other, students will be asked to consider their thoughts about various social issues. Additional final round topic types will be determined by each contest host.
