Please describe your personal note-taking during the round
I keep detailed notes throughout the roundItem #3 - I was unable to judge this year because of school and personal difficulties. I was also unable to judge in some cases because I would have been a "dirty" judge. Item #4 - My issues are not being able to write fast enough nor comprehend information well enough within such a small amount of time due to speed. Item #5 - It really does depend. Yes, I think they are important, but it depends on how the debaters debate when others use or do not use them in the round. It also changes when neither uses them in the round. Item #8 - Amount and type of evidence really depends on type of debate and the topic being debated. Item #9 - I am unclear what "rigorous flow" versus "detailed notes" means. I do an actual flow format with columns and colored pens and all that, but I do a lot of shorthand. If they talk really fast, then I do the flow, but it will probably be a lot less on it and more quick notes to get the overall of what they are saying just to keep up with them.
