Additional remarks:

I want to start off by saying that, I admire the work that all competitors put in to participate in this competition. As a judge, I believe that my role during the competition is the least important. I encourage competitors to concentrate on their opponent and performance during the competition, rather than be concerned about someone judging them. For me, everyone who has made it to the national tournament has already reached a high level in debate, and I wholeheartedly support all of you!
