We are proud to offer access to high-quality competition through an original scenario round, in preparation for the 2026 edition of the Florida Blue-key featuring some of the nation's best Congressional Debate coaches.

Our panel includes:

• Jackie Correa — 2024 Florida Blue Key 3rd Place and Two-Time Finalist ( Scenario pt 2 only)

• Emily Stevens — 2024 Florida Blue Key Champion and Three-Time Finalist

• Makai Henry — 2022 Florida Blue Key Finalist and 2026 National Champion Coach

Start Time: 7:15 PM ET

Scenario Format

The scenario will consist of two rounds, each ranked independently.

• First Half — Dueling Legislation: Competitors will be affirmative on competing legislative proposals.

• Second Half — Pass/Fail: Competitors will debate legislation under the traditional pass/fail format.

• Abstention speeches are banned.

Precedence and recency will carry over between rounds and will not reset at the start of the second half.

Competitors will have a 35-minute preparation break between rounds to review new scenario developments and prepare for the second half.

At the beginning of the event, students will elect two Presiding Officers (POs). One will preside over the first half of the scenario, while the other will preside over the second half.

A guide to the Dueling Legislation format, the scenario topic, and the first two scenario updates will be released on the morning of Wednesday, October 21.
