Hello Coaches,

The NYCUDL invites you, your students, judges, and chaperones to attend the NYCUDL-NYC Reads Championship Tournament. The tournament will be held at SCHOOL at LOCATION.

This tournament is only open to middle school students from registered NYC Reads schools. Each school may bring 1 team (2 students) per division. Coaches have discretion in choosing which teams they bring, so long as you register no more than one team per division, and each team is eligible for that division.

Note: Teams may debate up a division, but not down. This means novice students can debate in the intermediate/advanced divisions, but advanced students are ineligible to compete in the novice division. All teams will be audited to ensure they are in the correct division.

We offer the following Division Levels:

English Divisions:

Novice Public Forum

Intermediate Public Forum

Advanced Public Forum

Spanish Divisions:

First Year Spanish Public Forum

Experienced Spanish Public Forum

Topic: RESOLUTION

Upon school entry, all teams will be placed on a waitlist. To be removed from the waitlist, the following criteria must be met.

• You must have an adult who will be present for the day of the tournament.

• You must have fulfilled your judging requirement.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your outreach contact.
