WELCOME SPEECH COMPETITORS

Welcome to the Inaugural Green Valley HS Novice Speech Tournament!

Dear Coaches,

We are thrilled to welcome you and your students to Green Valley High School on Saturday, October 10, for our very first novice speech tournament. Thank you for joining us for this milestone. We are more than excited to host you this year, and we can't wait to watch your novice competitors take the stage.

Arrival

Doors will open at 7:00 am. Please plan to arrive with enough time for check-in so we can get started right on schedule.

Schedule

We're hoping to keep everything running smoothly and end on time, so we've built a slightly tighter schedule to make sure everyone heads home at a reasonable hour. Here's what to know:

• There will be a fifteen-minute turnaround between each round.
• All events will run at the same time.
• If you are double entering any of your students, please instruct them to check in with each room before they compete. This lets the judge know to wait for them before starting the round.

Awards

This will be a four-round tournament with no finals. Final rankings will be determined by a lowest cumulative scoring system. Awards will be presented to the top six (6) competitors in each event.

Thank you for all you do to support and encourage these young speakers. Novice tournaments are where confidence is built and passions are sparked, and we're honored to be part of that journey with you. If you have any questions before the tournament, please don't hesitate to reach out.

We look forward to seeing you on October 10!

Warmly,

The Green Valley HS Speech & Debate Team
