Dear Colleagues and Competitors,

The Coppell Speech and Debate Program cordially invites you to the Coppell Classic, our 26th annual TFA, NIETOC, and TOC qualifying tournament, October 16-17, 2026. The tournament will be offered in-person, and we are eager to welcome you to our campus.

This year, we have the privilege of being a semifinals bid tournament for World Schools Debate and a finals bid in Speech! As a result, we have 3 IE prelims to meet those requirements (including Friday evening IEs).

Novice Break-Outs in World Schools, Public Forum, and Congress! Novices in these divisions not qualifying for varsity elims will have a separate elimination bracket for their events. Entries must be designated as novices by email from coaches to Dr. Sykes before the end of prelims.

We are thankful to those who have supported the growth of this tournament over the years. We promise efficient & accurate tabulation, qualified judging, top-notch customer service, and excellent hospitality.

Please let one of us know if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you in October!

Dr. Jason Sykes & Mrs. SunHee Simon-Santiago, Co-Directors
