EVENTS: Friday -

  • Online Student Congress and Round 1 of Hybrid Policy and World Schools

Saturday

  • Hybrid Events: The debates - this is in hopes of increasing competition. Novice and Open in Lincoln Douglas, Policy, and Public Forum. Open in World Schools, DEBATE is single entry only. 4 Preliminary Rounds and at least one break round
  • In-Person Pattern A Speech - Extemp, Sports Extemp, Informative, Impromptu, Dramatic Interp, Humorous Interp, MS Extemp Commentary, MS Impromptu
  • In-Person Pattern B Speech/Student Congress - Student Congress, Original Oratory, Duo, Program Oral Interpretation, Prose/Poetry, Declamation, MS Just Talk
  • Speech Double entry policy - students can double enter in each pattern unless they are entered in Pattern B Student Congress. Students are able to enter in events in each pattern.Speech will have 3 preliminary rounds with a break round in any event that has 12 or more entries. In Pattern A - students cannot enter more than 1 Extemp Event
  • Both student congresses will have 2 preliminary 1.5 hour length sessions and a break round if any congress is larger than 16 entries.

FEES and JUDGING:

  • Speech and Student Congress $15/entry
  • Policy, PF, and World Schools $35/entry
  • LD $25/entry
  • Debate Judge Obligation: 1 judge for every 2 entries, judge hire is $150
  • Speech/Congress Judge Obligation: 1 judge for every 4 entries, Judge hire is $100.
  • ALL judges must have LINKED tabroom accounts for judging.
  • All ballots will be online ballots

  • ALL Policy the 2026 NFHS topic: Resolved: The United States Federal Government should establish national health insurance in the United States
  • ALL LD:Resolved: Outer space colonization is a moral imperative
  • ALL PF:Resolved: The United States federal government should enact a moratorium on hyperscale data center construction
  • WSD: Rd 1 Prepared:This House would abolish the European Union's Common Agricultural Policy.; Rd. 2 Prepared:This House would abolish the United States' National Collegiate Athletic Association transfer portal and restore a system requiring athletes to obtain permission before transferring universities. Rd 3 and 4 Impromptu. Break Round: Prepared:This House would abolish congestion pricing in central London. ALL prepared topics come from the NSDA WSD October Resources so as to give young teams extra support.
  • Congress: Both congresses will use the same basic packet from the NSDA Congress Packet for October as well as any student submitted bills
  • Extemp Topic Areas: Rd 1 - US Economics, RD 2 - International International Organization, Rd 3 - US Midterm Elections, Break Round - International Wars/Conflicts
  • Sports Extemp Areas: Rd. 1 - High School Sports, Rd 2 - College Sports, Rd 3 Professional Sports, Break Round - Sports Controversies
  • Extemp Commentary: Rd 1 - Technology & Social Media, Rd 2 - Environment, Rd 3 - Health & Well-Being, Break Round - Community
