Important Updates for 2026

- Independent / Club / Academy / Hybrid / Home School entries are permitted but must complete the required Independent Entry Authorization & Participant Acknowledgment and receive tournament approval before competing.
- The Independent Entry Authorization deadline is November 20, 2026.
- Every participating school or program must submit the new Program DASA & Participant Conduct Acknowledgment by November 27, 2026.
- All known judge conflicts must be entered in Tabroom by November 27. Judges affiliated with or working with multiple programs must disclose all applicable conflicts.
- Programs are expected to provide qualified judges appropriate for the division in which they are entered. Open Policy should not be used as an introductory judging assignment for individuals with no meaningful familiarity with Policy Debate.
- Programs may initially enter up to six teams per division, subject to tournament capacity and competitive-balance considerations.
- Fees lock November 27. Programs remain financially responsible for dropped entries and approved hired judging after that deadline.
- The TOC has eliminated ghost bids beginning with the 2026–27 season. Only bids actually earned under current TOC requirements count toward qualification.
