EVENTS
Competition on the Sept/Oct Topics for Lincoln Douglas & Public Forum will be held in Novice, JV, & Varsity Divisions.

Lincoln Douglas Novice: "Resolved: In the United States, national service ought to be mandatory."

Lincoln Douglas JV/Varsity: "Resolved: Outer space colonization is a moral imperative."

Public Forum: "Resolved: The United States federal government should enact a moratorium on hyperscale data center construction."

Competition will be held in Novice and JV/Varsity Congressional Debate, including a final round for both divisions.

LOGISTICS

• Dress Code: While we will not have a formal costume contest this year, costumes and spooky attire are welcome, so wear whatever makes you feel festive. Think Halloween colors, your favorite Halloween graphic tee under your blazer, or the perfect excuse to break out the black lipstick.
• Between rounds and during breaks, swing by the cafeteria for a few seasonal activities:
  • Candy Corn Guessing Game: Guess how many pieces of candy corn are in a jar. The closest guess wins the whole jar!
  • Halloween Trivia: Test your spooky knowledge for a chance to win Halloween candy prizes.
  • Spooky Photo Booth: Grab your teammates and strike a pose with our Halloween backdrop and props!
• Arrival and Check-In: Enter through Door 34W (West Entrance). Check-in runs from 7:00 to 7:45 AM, and Round 1 begins at 8:00 AM.
• Judges: Lounge is in the Black Box, immediately to your right as you come in the West Entrance. Breakfast (bananas, bagels, donuts), coffee, and lunch (TBD, side salad, pasta salad, chips, cookies, soda) will be served here. Judges are encouraged to wear festive attire as well :)
