Scrimmage style, no final rounds. Awards based on preliminary round results.

NSDA Main Events offered:
Speech: Original Oratory, Informative, US Extemp, International Extemp, Humorous Interp, Dramatic Interp, Duo Interp, Program Oral Interp, CIDNI (see CIDNI details at link to the right)
Debate: Lincoln Douglas (both novice and open/varsity), Policy (both novice and open/varsity), and Public Forum (both novice and varsity).

Students may register in one debate event OR up to two speech events. They may not enter both speech and debate due to the one-day schedule.

Policy Topic: Resolved: The United States federal government should establish national health insurance in the United States.

Lincoln-Douglas Topic (BOTH NOVICE AND VARSITY): Resolved: Outer space colonization is a moral imperative.

Public Forum Topic: Resolved: The United States federal government should enact a moratorium on hyperscale data center construction.
