Event Rules/Resolutions

No double-entering.

An event may be cancelled if it does not get enough entries to ensure that each competitor can have three opponents that are not from their school.

 

Novice Policy

Resolution: The United States federal government should substantially increase its non-military exploration and/or development of the Earth's oceans.

No topic areas.

To fit the schedule, shortened times will be used for policy.

Prep: 5 minutes/team

Computers are allowed in round, but Internet may not be accessed.

Cell phones can be used in round for timing, but must be on airplane mode. 

 

 

Novice LD

Resolution: Just governments ought to require that employers pay a living wage. 

4 minutes of prep time per debater.

Novice Parli

Round 1 topic area: Economy versus Environment

Rounds 2 and 3 will not have pre-announced topic areas.

Computers and Internet are allowed during prep time, but not in round.  

Competitors may only prep with their partner. No team or coach prep is permitted.

Cell phones can be used in round for timing, but must be on airplane mode. 

 

 

Novice PF

Resolution: In the United States, students should be guaranteed two years of free tuition to a community or technical college.
