East Iowa District Qualifier

for the 2020 National Tournament

Congress Schedule

A one-day District Congress should allow seven hours for a tournament, including two sessions, breaks, and meals.  Each session is three hours and includes: 

A.  Election of a presiding officer

B.  New seating chart

C.  Resetting of precedence/recency

D.  New legislation that has not been debated in a previous session at the tournament.

Our anticipated schedule is listed below:

Saturday, February 22nd, 2020

Registration     8:45am - 9:15am

Session 1        9:30am - 12:30pm

Lunch              12:30pm - 1:00pm

Session 2        1:15pm - 4:15pm

Awards              5:00pm
