for the 2019 National Tournament

Speech Event Information

We will follow all NSDA rules in regards to the speech events at the tournament.  

Make sure to review all NSDA rules as some vary slightly than our IHSAA rules (grace periods, internet rules, note cards in Extemp).

Students may double enter in the following ways:

2 Speech events (OO and Inform, or example) - they may not enter both extemp events.

1 Speech and 1 Debate event (IX and PF, for example)

Students that enter partner events MUST have the same partnerships (for example, PF and Duo must have the same partner members)

Students may triple enter if:

Their third event is Congressional Debate AND/OR Big Questions only

Restrictions are:

Students cannot enter 2 debate events (for example, CX and LD)

Students cannot enter both extemp events 

Extemp will be separated into IX (International) and US (Domestic) question areas.  We will use the NFHS questions from December, January, and February.
