Parent Judge Information

February 9 & 10, 2024

Judge Requirements:

Team Debate: One judge per team is required, we prefer that all debate trained parents who will be at the tournament be registered as potential debate judges*

Individual Events (I.E.): One parent judge per student is required (maximum two per family). Please register both parents if they will be there to help with the judge pool. Do not sign up two or more students unless you can bring both parents to the tournament or provide a second judge for the entire tournament.*

*Please note that Hosting Clubs have additional recruiting expectations.

Parent Judges:

- Both parents will be registered as judges and expected to be there if you have two or more students. (If you only have one student and only one parent is available let your club administration know which one is coming.)

- Parents are expected to be available to be available to judge the entire tournament. If this is not possible, then additional Guest Judges must be recruited to cover this need.

- Alumni and Guest Judges will be entered through a Google Form which will be sent to club administrators and will be linked here.

- If you do have a job for the whole tournament and will not be available for judging, you must replace yourself with guest judges. Have the guest judge make a note that you are filling in for them on the Guest Judge Google Form.

Guest Judges:

- Guest Judges are anyone other than a parent. Other family members and Alumni are considered Guest Judges.

- Please access the Guest Judge registration link Guest Judge Signup to register Guest Judges.

- Guest Judge registrations are open through 7:00 p.m., Monday February 5th, 2024.
