Prepared for Congress by the President Elect for the First 100 Days of his Administration

 

A Bill to Strengthen Lobbying Regulations

1.         Whereas well-regulated lobbying can help ensure that minority interests are considered by the

2.         government and protected against the “tyranny of the majority,” and;

3.         Whereas unregulated lobbying breeds political corruption and fosters conflicts of interests, and;

4.         Whereas placing restrictions and regulations on lobbying government officials and agencies will

5.         increase accountability and transparency in government and decrease outside influence on Congress;

6.         BE IT RESOLVED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT IN THE FIRST

7.         100 DAYS OF THE TRUMP/PENCE ADMINISTRATION THE “HONEST GOVERNMENT ACT”

8.        WILL BE PASSED INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING KEY TENENTS:

9.         The lobbying ban on former elected officials and Cabinet Secretaries lobbying will increase from 2 to 4 10.           Years.

11.       All Congressional, White House and Federal Agency officials are banned from all lobbying for 2 years. 12.        Any gifts of items, cash, travel or in-kind from lobbyist to any government official are outlawed.

13.       All Lobbyists must register with the appropriate Congressional agent prior to any lobbying activities.

14.       Any violation of the above rules is punishable by $100,000 fine and a lifetime lobbying ban.

 

 

 

 

A Resolution to Confirm the Nomination of Rex Tillerson

as the United States Secretary of State

 

1.         Whereas Rex Tillerson is a proven negotiator; and

2.         Whereas Mr. Tillerson has a friendly working relationship with many  world leaders and government

3.         officials from foreign countries; and

4.         Whereas his skills as a negotiator and his global contacts will prove most valuable to protecting U.S

5.         strategic interests abroad and achieving U.S. diplomatic goals around the world;

6.         BE IT RESOLVED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT IN THE FIRST

7.         100 DAYS OF THE TRUMP/PENCE ADMINISTRATION THAT

8.         The nomination of Rex Tillerson for Secretary of State be confirmed by the Senate.

  

 

 

A Resolution to Strengthen the U.S. Business

Environment by Reducing Government Regulation

 

1.         Whereas American Industrial ingenuity is stifled and inhibited by unnecessary and burdensome

2.         governmental regulations; and

3.         Whereas over-regulation makes U.S. business sluggish and inefficient and drives up the prices of

4.         production and merchandise making American industry less globally competitive; and

5.         Whereas if we expect our economy to flourish we must deregulate the American capitalist system and

6.         foster a Laissez- Faire approach to business and industry;

7.         BE IT RESOLVED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT IN THE FIRST

8.         100 DAYS OF THE TRUMP/PENCE ADMINISTRATION THAT

9.         All Federal Agencies develop a comprehensive plan of deregulation to spur economic development.  

10.       Henceforth, any legislation which proposes additional regulation will be subject to the Two-For-One

11.       mandate which calls for any new mandated regulation to be matched by the termination of two existing 12.          regulations.

 

  

A Bill to Strengthen Our Borders and

Deport Illegal Immigrants

 

1.         BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT IN THE FIRST 100

2.        DAYS OF THE TRUMP/PENCE ADMINISTRATION THAT

3.         SECTION 1: The United States will impose a 30% import tariff on all goods from Mexico.

4.         SECTION 2: All revenue raised from the Mexico import tariffs will be earmarked for a border wall

5.         along the U.S.-Mexico border constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

6.         SECTION 3: Funding for the Department of Homeland Security will be increased sufficiently to double 7.          the number of Border Patrol agents and the DHS will develop and implement a program to efficiently

8.         and humanely identify and deport illegal immigrants.

9.         SECTION 4:  All U.S businesses will be given a 90-Day amnesty period in which they must report all

10.       undocumented workers.  After the amnesty period, any U.S. employer caught employing undocumented

11.      workers will be fined $100,000 per infraction. 

12.       SECTION 5: Undocumented workers employed in any positions deemed “critical” by the DHS may

13.       apply for special consideration for a temporary work visa to remain legally in the country.

14.       SECTION 6: This Bill will become law immediately upon passage.

15.       SECTION 7: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

 

 

 

A Resolution to Revise the Affordable Care Act

1.         Whereas: Many Americans have voiced their opposition to the Affordable Care Act enacted by the

2.         Obama Administration; and

3.         Whereas: President-Elect Trump campaigned on a pledge to repeal the Affordable Care Act; and

4.         Whereas: The Affordable Care Act has caused health care costs to increase astronomically; and

5.         Whereas: The Affordable Care Act has failed to meet the initial promises made by President Obama;

6.         BE IT RESOLVED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT IN THE FIRST

7.         100 DAYS OF THE TRUMP/PENCE ADMINISTRATION THAT

8.         The Congress will repeal the Affordable Care Act and replace it with a program of tax deductions and

9.         tax subsidies for Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) to make health insurance more affordable and

10.       maintain the program on the open market.
