Sweepstakes Calculations & Awards

Overall Sweepstakes will be calculated in large and small divisions:

Large Schools (10 entries or greater): Top 10 Entries by final placement, with no more than 2 entries counting per event. This calculation rewards breadth of success across numerous events.

Small Schools (9 entries or fewer): Top 5 Entries by final placement, with no more than 1 entry counting per event.

The top 2 teams in each division will receive an award.

Speech Sweepstakes: Top 6 Entries by final placement, with no more than 2 entries counting per event (12 possible events).

Debate Sweepstakes: Top 6 Entries by final placement, with no more than 2 entries counting per event (5 possible events).

The top team in Speech and Debate will receive an award.

Awards will be given to the top 6 in speech, top 10 in Congress, quarters-up in PF & LD, and semis-up in Policy & Parli.

Additionally, awards will be given to the top 3 double-entered point earners across their best 2 events.
