2024 Stanford Invitational WSD Chief Adjudicators

Hanh M. Do

Hanh Do has been involved in competitive debate for the past 27 years on the collegiate, high school, and middle school level as a coach, consultant, and adjudicator. Her students have cleared and placed at Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Isidore Newman, Harvard-Westlake, The Glenbrooks, Holy Cross, Grapevine, Hockaday, and the UT Longhorn Classic as well as the Texas Forensic Association’s state tournament. In addition to teaching public forum since its inception, she has instructed in Lincoln-Douglas, policy, parli, British parli, and Worlds Schools Debate at Stanford University, University of Texas-Austin and Dallas, Baylor University, Summit Debate and the Institute of Speech and Debate. She has had the immense privilege of traveling internationally to adjudicate at the 2015 and 2016 WSDC competition in Singapore and Stuttgart respectively. Her team in 2016 cleared and placed in the Pan American Debating Championships. Currently, she is the Director of Forensics at University High School in San Francisco and serves as the first Asian-American Debate Chair for the National Speech and Debate Association in Big Questions Debate for the last four years.

Mark Webber

Mark Webber is a career educator who has taught and coached Theatre, Debate, and Public Speaking in 6 countries on 4 continents. Mark founded the Venezuelan Forensics League in 2001, the Sudanese debating circuit in 2008, and the Mexican Debate league in 2010 as well as directing the SEA Forensics League in Malaysia and supporting the IASAS Conference in Southeast Asia. Mark coached Team Sudan at the World Schools Debating Championships in 2010 and Team Mexico from 2011 to 2017.

Mark was on the Board of the English Speaking Union, in charge of Debate and Public Speaking when Mexico won 1st runner-up in 2014 and the world championship at the ESU International Public Speaking Championships in 2016. Mark currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for Asociación Mexicana de Debate A.C. who hosted the World Universities Debating Championships in 2018 and the World Schools Debating Championships 2020 online. Mark is the Director of Webber’s Ed – Teacher Talent and Webber’s Debate Academy as well as ROGA Debate and Speech Academy in Singapore and he is a volunteer coach for Pies Descalzos (Shakira’s foundation school) in Colombia.
