Debate Topics

The TOC division will use the NSDA Jan/Feb LD topic -- TBD(announced on December 1). The topic will be one of the following:

  • Resolved: The United States federal government ought to substantially strengthen its obligation of trust responsibility toward Indigenous Nations.
  • Resolved: The United States ought to recognize Iraqi Kurdistan.
  • Resolved: The United States ought to substantially reduce its military presence in the West Asia-North Africa region.

The Novice (in person) and Open (online) divisions will use the NSDA Nov/Dec topic, Resolved: The United States ought to prohibit the extraction of fossil fuels from federal public lands and waters.
