IE Title Instructions

COACHES, DO NOT NEGLECT THIS STEP IN REGISTERING YOUR STUDENTS. IT IS THEIR BEST DEFENSE IF A PROTEST IS FILED.

ORIGINAL ORATORY -- Enter the title of the speech.

DRAMATIC PERFORMANCE & DUO INTERPRETATION -- Enter the title and author of the piece and ALL relevant publication information. If the piece is actually on a web page, enter the non-paywalled URL and the date accessed. For all other works, enter the publisher, publication or copyright date, and ISBN (or "Acting Edition" where appropriate).

ORATORICAL DECLAMATION-- Enter the title of the speech in the "Title" field and the person who originally delivered the speech in the "Author" field. Then, in the "Bibliography" field, provide the date and original circumstances of the speech (e.g., "TED Talk, 16 Oct. 2019," "Commencement Address at Northwestern University, 11 June 2008").

ORAL INTERPRETATION -- In the "Title" field, enter the title of the PROSE piece, then a forward slash, then the title of the POETRY PROGRAM (or single poem). It should look like this: I'll Eat What He's Wearing / Verses of Protest. Then, in the "Bibliography" field, provide title, author, and publication information for ALL works used in both prose and poetry (MLA citations are recommended but not required).
