Rollin G Osterweis Tournament at Yale

2023 — New Haven, CT/US

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

All participants, including all debaters, coaches, and other chaperones, are required to be up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations. This is a Yale University policy; you can read full details in the Yale University visitors policy at: https://covid19.yale.edu/visitors-policy

“Up to date” is defined by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Please consult this page for details about what is required to be up to date on vaccinations: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/stay-up-to-date.html

Participants do not need to submit proof of vaccination in advance of the tournament. However, per the university visitors policy, all visitors must carry vaccination and booster documentation during the tournament and be prepared to provide it if asked. A digital copy (such as a photo of a vaccination card on a phone) is acceptable.

There are no exemptions whatsoever from the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. This includes medical, religious, or any other exemptions. We understand that there may be circumstances which prevent an individual from being up to date on vaccinations, but this is a firm policy set by Yale University for visitors, and the YDA is not empowered or permitted to override that policy.
