Khyree Allison Excellence in Debate Award

The LRCH Debate family tragically lost Khyree Allison on February 22, 2021. Khyree was a member of the LRCH Debate team from 2016 to 2019, during which time he distinguished himself as a formidable force in Policy Debate. 

Khyree was also committed to mentoring young debaters and was an active participant in all of our team's community outreach efforts. He was especially passionate about our youth debate and Debate Like a Girl initiatives during his tenure on the team.

Khyree was kind, funny, patient, and encouraging. He is missed tremendously. Our team wishes to honor his memory by endowing a special award in his name to be presented at the Little Rock Classic each year. The recipient of the Khyree Allison Excellence in Debate Award will receive a special memorial plaque and a donation in their name to the charity of their choice.

We seek nominations of senior debaters who demonstrate a strong commitment to the activity and to service and mentorship on their teams and in their communities. Nominations should be in the form of a letter with supporting information to rosievblock@gmail.com.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 14, 2022. Nomination letters should include the name of the charity the debater would like support should they be selected for the award this year.
