Break Points for Speech

Students and Coaches, the breakpoints for Speech were allotted as follows:

ELIM 1 BREAKPOINTS:

Dramatic Interpretation: The top 6 speakers broke to the Final round on a clean break of 8. 

Duo Interpretation: The top 4 speakers broke to the Final round on a clean break of 6.

Humorous Interpretation: The top 7 speakers broke to the Final round. There were 4 speakers tied at a cume of 7. The top 3 advanced with at least one rank of "1".

Informative Speaking: The top 14 speakers broke to the Semifinal round on a clean break of 7.

Oratorical Interpretation: The top 10 speakers broke to a Semifinal round. There were6 speakers tied at a cume of 7. The top speaker advanced with at least two ranks of "1".

Original Platform: The top 13 speakers broke to the Semifinal round. There were 6 speakers tied at a cume of 7. The top 3 advanced with at least one rank of "1".

Impromptu: The top 12 speakers broke to the Semifinal round on a clean break of 6. 

Extemp: The top 6 speakers broke to the Final round on a clean break of 10. 

SPAR: The top 12 speakers broke to the Semifinal round. There were 3 speakers tied at a cume of 15. Two of those speakers advanced with at least a rank of "1".

ELIM 2 BREAKPOINTS

Informative Speaking: The top 7 speakers broke to the Final Round. There were three speakers tied at a cume of 16. One of those speakers broke to the Final round with a cume of 12 in the Semifinal round.

Oratorical Interpretation: The top 5 speakers broke to the Final Round on a clean break of 11. 

Original Platform: The top 7 speakers broke to the Final Round on a clean break of 15. 

Impromptu: The top 6 speakers broke to the Final Round. There were three speakers tied at a cume of 12. One speaker broke to the final round with a cume of 9 in the Semifinal round. There were two speakers still tied with a cume of 10 in the Semifinal round. Seeing that these two speakers met in the Semifinal round, one advanced to the Final Round on Judge Preference as they were preferred by two judges in the Semifinal round.

SPAR: The top 6 speakers broke to the Final Round on a clean break of 18.
