Prepared Prompt Speaking

Prepared Prompt Speaking is a mixture of Extemp and impromptu speaking. Students topics will be released at 10:30AM on April 26th. Students must pick one topic out of the 5 available. They will then have until the video upload deadline of April 16th to create their speech on the topic. The prep time is not limited beyond those dates, a student can take as long as they want to write about the topic and approach the topic anyway they want. The topic will be similar to a SPAR topic and examples are listed below. Speeches will be a length of five to seven minuets long, no more than 10% of the speech should be quoted. Students are allowed to have a 3x5 notecard with them for their speech. These topics can be approached in any way and this is a chance for students to experiment with different styles of speaking.
