A Bill to Abolish School Resource Officers

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. Any school which is to receive federal funding shall not employ an officer of the law to be present at school during regular school hours. Officers should only be present in the instance of probable cause that a crime has or will occur. Funding previously allotted to the employment of officers should be used by schools for early crime prevention measures such as the hiring of additional mental health professionals and counseling for students most likely to fall victim to the structures and conditions at the root of criminality. SECTION 2. Officers of the law are defined as any Federal, State, or Municipal employee whose main purpose is to enforce law. SECTION 3. The enforcement of this legislation will be overseen by the Department of Education. SECTION 4. This legislation will take effect on July 1, 2022. SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void. |

A Bill to Permanently Reinstate the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. Congress shall permanently reinstate the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act and increase the Department of Transportation budget to provide for the maintenance of transportation infrastructure and public transit options across America. SECTION 2. Transportation Infrastructure is composed of fixed installations such as railroads, roads, and airways. Public transit options include but shall not be limited to subways, busses, and other modes of mass transit which reduce fuel consumption, exhaust emissions, and automobile pollution. SECTION 3. The Department of Transportation will implement and oversee the program.
SECTION 4. This legislation will go into effect at the beginning of fiscal year 2023. SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void. |

A Bill to Abolish the U.S. Postal Service

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. The United States Postal Service shall be eliminated. SECTION 2: Findings: A. The Postal Service doesn’t pay taxes, is exempt from local zoning rules, and has access to low-rate loans from the Treasury. B. The USPS lost $5.6 billion in 2016 and $50 billion since 2007. C. The USPS has tried several methods to stop the loss of revenue like closing down branches to sell the real estate and retire Saturday deliveries, however the Congress has stopped those methods. D. The internet and private delivery companies have taken much of the USPS’s business recently. SECTION 3: The executive branch will oversee the enforcement of this bill. A. Assets will be sold or distributed at the discretion of the executive branch. B. The Department of Defense will be responsible for its own postal service. SECTION 4: This policy shall go into effect by July 31, 2023. SECTION 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void. |

A Resolution to End Coal Mining in the United States

WHEREAS, Coal has become an outdated energy source and WHEREAS, Production in 2017 was down 33% from the peak production of 1,162.7 million tons (about 1054.8 million metric tons) in 2006; and WHEREAS, Employment of 50,000 coal miners is down from a peak of 883,000 in 1923; and WHEREAS, In 2015, four publicly traded US coal companies filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection; and WHEREAS, By January 2016, more than 25% of coal production was in bankruptcy in the United States; and WHEREAS, The United States already invests heavily in new, safer, and more sustainable energy sources; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, By the Congress here assembled that the United States Federal Government will require all coal mining to cease in the United States by the end of 2022. |
